Public Education & Engagement
EHI assisted with public and stakeholder engagement throughout two rounds of public engagement for the plan. The E. Holdings Inc. team used state and federal level environmental justice data to determine highly impacted areas throughout the region and identify key communities to hold public meetings. Key stakeholders were also identified to include on a ‘Regional Advisory Committee’ as well as for general engagement. Public meetings and engagement first focused on acquainting the public with projects and initiatives that mitigate climate pollution in their communities, as well as help create consensus and momentum around the deployment of these initiatives. This increased awareness and project literacy was aimed to bolster stakeholder and public participation.
