Project Update
New Projects
E. Holdings starting two new project for SPC
E. Holdings Inc. is excited to announce that we are working on two exciting projects with the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission (SPC): the region’s first ever Climate Action Plan and an update to the Public Transit Human Services Coordinated Transportation Plan.
Southwestern Pennsylvania Public Transit Human Services Coordinated Transportation Plan
The goal of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Public Transit Human Services Coordinated Transportation Plan is to enhance access for transportation-disadvantaged populations through the coordination of services across a ten-county region. EHI will be working with the McCormick Taylor team to ensure that the plan is representative of the unique needs facing each of the ten counties in the SPC region. The Coordinated Plan is a component of SPC’s Long Range Transportation and Economic Development Plan – SmartMoves for a Changing Region.
Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP)
SPC just released the Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP) on March 1 (you can view it here: https://www.spcregion.org/cprg/ ) and is now starting to work on the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (CCAP). The Southwestern Pennsylvania Regional Climate Pollution Reduction Plan will assist the region in understanding and addressing the sources of climate pollution and emissions and will produce an actionable plan with high-priority projects that will proactively address these issues for the region’s residents. EHI will be working with SPC and the HDR team to engage with regional stakeholders and the general public over the next 18 months to identify the issues and opportunities related to reducing climate pollution across the entire 10-county region.
The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission (Commission) is the cooperative forum for regional collaboration, planning, and public decision-making. The Commission serves as the official Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for a 10-county region in Southwestern Pennsylvania including the City of Pittsburgh and the counties of Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington, and Westmoreland. In addition, the Commission is designated as the Local Development District (LDD) and Economic Development District (EDD) for Southwestern Pennsylvania.
