EHI 30th Anniversary
30 for 30 – 30 Words to Commemorate 30 Years
As part of our 30th anniversary celebrations, we asked EHI employees to write down words they felt best embodied their experience working at the company. We collected those words and created our 30 for 30 word cloud. We then had our department managers and owners elaborate on the top 5 words, giving a brief explanation of how they feel that word applies to EHI’s culture and work.
View the final word cloud and read our managers responses below.
Dave Broniecki, Project Manager/Asset Management Engineer – Teamwork
“To me, teamwork means contributing and supporting each other in a way that causes the group to achieve more than if everybody had worked alone. It can mean getting somebody unstuck by offering up a suggestion, cracking a joke to calm down somebody that is stressed, or offering to handle a small task for somebody so that they can focus on something bigger. Teamwork in an office is a version of the sense of community, family, or friendship that you feel in your day to day life, of knowing that even when things go wrong you will have the support you need to get through it, and even if you fail you’ll have people to encourage you to try again.”
Alexis Strothman Meier, Director of Communications – Inclusive
“Inclusion is the Heart of Meaningful Engagement. – At E. Holdings, we believe inclusion builds trust, fosters stronger relationships, and leads to more effective, equitable outcomes by ensuring every voice is heard. Our inclusive approach doesn’t just check boxes — it creates real impact. When everyone has a seat at the table, communities thrive.”
Amy Wiles, Manager of Planning & Design – Creative
“Creativity is more than a mindset at E. Holdings, it’s our competitive advantage. We bring fresh ideas and forward thinking to every planning, engineering, and communications project. From reimagining public spaces and redesigning transit networks to navigating policy challenges and shaping future-ready communities, our creative approach leads to smarter, more effective outcomes. We find new and fun ways to engage stakeholders meaningfully, uncover hidden opportunities, and turn bold ideas into real-world impact.”
Janai Williams, Executive Vice President/Managing Director –Growth
“Change is inevitable. Growth is optional.” –John C. Maxwell
“In my 25 years in our family business, I’ve changed a lot. I’ve learned even more. But most importantly, I’ve grown — as an entrepreneur, a leader, a business partner, a community stakeholder, and a consultant.
And growth isn’t always easy. But for EHI, it has meant change, perseverance, progress and meaningful contributions to our community. True growth lives not just in the highs of success, but also in the hard lessons learned from failure.”
Irvin Williams, President – Community
“Community means creating a diverse environment where people feel safe, seen, and celebrated. It’s more than just a place — it’s a feeling deeply rooted in the soul. My pride in my own community has fueled my vision for EHI from the very beginning. I set out to build a firm grounded in that same sense of belonging — one that values helping communities preserve their identity, build their future, and strengthen their foundation.”
